Invitation to Poland

The condition for the possibility to invite a foreigner to Poland is a confirmation that inviting person has the appropriate financial means and is able to cover the cost of living (including food, accommodation) in Poland.

A foreigner may apply for a visa using an invitation.

The validity of the document is specified by inviting person, but can not be more than 1 year.

Documents required to obtain it:

• confirmation of the capital availability
• legal status of the residential properties
• copy of the identity document

• treasury fee

Who can be inviting person?

• citizens (and members of their families) of the following countries: Poland, Switzerland, a Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area;
• a foreigner who resided legally and continuously in the territory of the Republic of Poland for at least 5 years before the issuance of the invitation;
• a foreigner holding a long-term EU residence permit or a permanent residence permit;
• legal entity or organization without a legal entity located in Poland.

How to get an invitation?

In order to receive an invitation for a foreigner, an employer or another authorized person should apply for inclusion of the future employee in the register of the invitations.

•  The completed form including data on inviting person’s place of residence or the place of plant must be submitted to the appropriate governor of province (wojewoda).
• The application should include the period for which an employer or an individual plans to invite a foreigner to Poland.
• The fee for entering in the register of invitations is PLN 27.
